Baron Leather pays heed to our environment. Sustainability is deeply embedded into our corporate culture, where entrepreneurial innovation meets renewability. We strive to develop and cater the best leathers in the most viable and utilitarian manner. The leather industry as an entirety is known for having a heavy impact on the environment. With our standards, we are on a mission to change that. With a vision to be a carbon net-zero company in the near future, Baron Leather takes measurable steps towards safeguarding the environment. We create positive externalities and ensure a cleaner world for future generations.

Raw Materials

We are converting the food industry by-product into a sustainable leather choice. Our natural leathers are purely
a by-product of the food industry, and no animals we use are raised exclusively for leather making.

Production

We ensure that all manufacturing tanneries have been audited by the Leather Working Group (LWG) Environmental Auditing Protocol.

Energy Efficient tanneries

Baron Leather practices cogeneration – combining thermal and electric energy to optimize usage
and reduce
greenhouse waste.

H20 RECOVERY PLANTS

We use end-of-pipe technologies for water treatment at the finishing stage of production to recycle consumed water for a second use.

Combined Heat And Power

Baron Leather reduces carbon emissions by treating remaining solvents and toxins
appropriately.

Longevity

Our precise sourcing and the use of water-based materials in the tanning process caters to high quality leather which is naturally sustainable.
Our leathers are enduring, resilient and significantly increase the life cycle of the product, benefitting both the environment and your asset.

Our offices and facilities

Renewable energy

We use solar panels with an aggregate 140Kwh
capacity for activities. Our interiors have LED lighting
installed for reduced energy usage.

Packaging

Baron Leather reduces our footprint further by a significant
cut-down in boxes during internal operations. Our goal is
to transit our packaging to 100% recyclable material.

Consciousness

We are proud to work within the guidelines of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This comprises of 17 global goals that set
a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.” We target to adopt the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles,
and release reports consistently. Our own corporate social responsibility is to ensure a healthy planet and better future for all, for years to come.
